This is why I “used” to be a Republican…

Yesterday’s glorious marriage of teabaggers and the moron that is Michelle Bachmann, Congresswoman from Minnesota, is just a reaffirmation that this once great political party is out of it’s monkey ass mind.

I just don’t even know where to start so I will kick it off with the comical stuff I guess:

1. First, they lead of this event with the pledge of allegiance, stating that “This drives liberals crazy”, as if they have some exclusive rights to the thing like Blockbuster occasionally does with new release movie rentals. This always amuses me since I look around at “liberals” like Jim Webb, former GA Sen. Mac Cleland (if you want to see how NOT to treat a man that lost multiple limbs in battle serving his country read up on what Republicans did to him), Senator Daniel Inouye, Chuck Rangel, Joe Sestak, Wesley Clark, and even numbnutz like Al Gore and John Kerry actually found themselves in combat…something George Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Rush Limbaugh and many many other “chicken hawks” couldn’t muster up the guts to do. Yet THEY are the patriots.

But I digress. On this particular day there was one interesting “freudian slip” when they recited the pledge of allegiance. They omitted one word. One very very important word in my opinion. Indivisible. Kind of ironic since they have spent the last 9 months trying to divide the nation on racial lines, economic lines, any line they think they can find useful. It took them 139 days to finally present their version of a Health Care bill and when the numbers were crunched it costs more than the Democratic version and leads to an ADDITIONAL 6 million w/o health care by 2019.

So, guys, girls of the GOP. Stop the fear mongering, stop the lies, stop the closeted racism. Here’s a hint, when you are having a “press conference” and you have huge banner behind you reading “National Socialist Health Care 1945” and it has pictures of piles of bodies form Dachau you have crossed the line and are merely stirring up hate!

2. The second Moron of the Week moment was when they attempt to “stage” a moment where a copy of the Bill falls off the podium and instead they knocked over the American Flag. A. shame on you for letting it happen and B. how come only one of you rushed to pick it up? And he was the radio personality

3. In my favorite “I am a dumbass that will be on YouTube for some time to come” moment, Congressman John Boehner (R-Ohio) then proceeds to wave what he claims is “his copy of the Constitution” around, stating that liberals need to re-familiarize themselves with it. At that point he claims that “it’s Preamble reads ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed, by their Creator, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.'”

The only problem John? The Constitution doesn’t have a Preamble. That’s the Declaration of Independence you retard. So I am not even going to waste my time trying to figure out how this Health Care Bill infringes upon any of these rights because it will be like talking to a goldfish obviously. I will, however, take this time to say “YOU ARE NOT SMARTER THAN A FIFTH GRADER!!” Literally.

It’s days like this, events like this that make me cry inside and Ronald Reagan roll over in his grave undoubtedly. Where is the future of the Republican Party? Who is going to lead it into the future, one devoid of hairbrained idiots like Bachmann, Palin and others?

Stop letting yourselves be railroaded down a path to nowhere by Windbags like Rush Limbaugh and empty suits like Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Boehner, Jindal etc…When Newt Gingrich is trying to be the voice of reason within your ranks you need to do some soul-searching.

Get your asses back to point where Ronald Reagan didn’t want to scare you into agreeing with him, he didn’t want to ignore those who disagreed with him, he wanted to win them over idealogically through rational thought and leadership by example.

Until you get THAT through your heads you will continue to be the joke, a bad one at that, that you are now.
